We are home after a FUN weekend in Dallas with Michael and Matt. Mason, Molly and Madelyn loved seeing their big brothers and had a blast staying at a hotel. Randy and I have often said that we don't need to take our children to Disneyland - we just need to check into a hotel for a night. Because our little darlin's were soooooo excited, none of us slept very well the first night, and Mason had a little bout with a fever all weekend. He signed to us that both his knee and ear hurt which didn't help with my Mommy diagnosis. We will go see Mason's doctor in the morning.
We absolutely love the adoption agency that helped us get our three Chinese cuties, so one reason we went to Dallas was to attend Buckner's first cultural fair. Our friends, the Zimmers, were there as were several couples we had met at previous adoption seminars. A long but fun afternoon. Did I already mention that we ate and ate and ate allllllllll weekend? I was feeling a little chubby before the trip, but now.........
We missed you Missy! Mason kept signing "Where's Missy?" all weekend. We are thankful that you are back in Stillwater after your late drive to Tulsa.
Our kitchen is still a huge mess - I had almost forgotten about it until we walked in the door tonight. We will be eating off of paper plates for a looooong time. Hopefully tomorrow we will get the final total from our insurance company and then we can decide what to repair and what to replace. When so much of your house is a wreck, it is hard to know where to start.
One of the sweetest memories of the weekend was sitting in the back of the surburban with Molly and Mason while she sang her "God" songs. She just starts singing songs about God and the Bible. What's so amazing is that her theology is very sound. She knows more about God's love at 5 years than many Christians ever know. She just has that child-like faith and can sing it out!
Michael and Matthew, thank you for rearranging your weekend so that you could spend it with us. We loved every minute! Missy, you need to come home soon - we miss you.
