"Dog-day" Afternoon

The reason that nothing got posted yesterday is because I was "dog tired!" Monday afternoons are spent in the car taking Molly to gymnastics and then driving across town to Mason's taekwondo school, and then back again to gymnastics. I don't mind because I only have two afternoons a week like this, and we can still have a family meal and evenings together. But, yesterday....... AAAGH!!!!!

Mason wakes up in a great mood when he wakes up on his own, but if we have to wake him up, it's another story. He fell asleep on the way to taekwondo, and I when I tried to wake him up he lost all control. He cried and threw a fit all the way into his class and wouldn't stop. The very kind man who teaches Mason tried to console and distract him but nothing worked. I put him back in the car and drove back to get Molly. Mason was still crying when we got home. I was one mad mommy! He had to put his pajamas on and go sit on his bed. We let him out of "solitary" to eat and then put him back in his room for a while. FINALLY, he stopped the fit-throwing episode, and Randy and I sat with him and loved on him until bedtime.

Today, I have a sweet, happy boy who will take a nap everyday we have taekwondo from now on. He has adjusted so well in the past 8 months, but every now and then we just have a bad day. Hopefully we won't have another until I have rested up!

I am skipping sign language class tonight to play bunco with my friends. Enjoy the picture of our sweet dog, Maddie. She is beautiful, but not very smart :0) We love her anyway!
