The Almost Finished Kitchen and a Tea Party

Molly and Madelyn went to a fun, fun birthday party for a sweet 4 year old friend today - an old fashioned tea party complete with hats, purses and gloves. (If you ask Madelyn, these are called "glubs"). Mason and his dad built a toy car from a kit while we were gone. He would have gladly traded the car for a purse, but Molly and Madelyn weren't very cooperative.

We had another plumbing issue yesterday in one of the bathrooms, but my very wonderful husband patiently worked for hours and finally got the tub spout fixed and the water turned back on. Sometimes being the dad, husband, plumber, electrician, ...... has got to be tiring and frustrating. He is such a great guy!

Here is the long-awaited picture of the new counter tops and sink. I was able to cook a meal tonight, and we sat at our table and ate together again. I have really missed our family dinners together at home. A bit of touch up painting, flooring, some new crown molding, and the kitchen will finally be finished!

The "Thankful" list continues:

21. My sweet quilting friends

22. My comfy bed

23. Beautiful sunrises

24. cinnamon rolls :0)

25. My first cup of morning coffee

26. The precious Bible songs that the girls sing to me everyday

27. Madelyn's sweet and funny mispronunciations

28. Molly's sweet spirit

29. A very patient husband

30. The country of China

Have a blessed week!
