When we knew for sure that God was telling us to adopt a deaf child, we found Mason's picture and fell in love. In the brief paragraph that the adoption agency had written about him, it said that he loved to pass tools to his foster father. Mason's name even means "builder." Needless to say, the name fits him well! He has been fascinated with all of the construction (chaos) going on in our kitchen.
Today Randy started rebuilding the damaged cabinet base, so he put on his work cap and got to work. Mason decided that he needed a hat like his Dad. When I got home from church this morning, I found both of them (wearing their hats) hard at work. Mason particularly loves the big measuring tape. I see many more father-son projects coming in the days to come. How blessed we are to have another son!
Molly is finally feeling better, and we are hoping that the flu bug has permanently left our home! We have a lot of homeschooling to catch up on this week, but we will have to work it around several contractors who will be in our house to give us bids for the upcoming remodel. I am so excited that our house will finally be finished! I will be posting lots of pictures of home projects in the weeks to come.

You forgot to mention Mason's verse:
"Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins and will raise up the age-old foundations; you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings."
Isaiah 58:12
The Lord is so faithful to our family :)! I love you guys!
