Thank you, thank you sweet friends for praying for Michael after his accident. He finally made it to New York late Thursday afternoon and was exhausted. After the car wreck, no one felt very safe sleeping in the van, so Michael and his co-workers were awake for almost 48 hours.
The swelling in his face is almost gone, but the pain in his nose has worsened. He has two black eyes, and I am sure most people think he has been in a fight :) He is going to try to see a specialist tomorrow for pain medication and to schedule surgery on his broken nose. I am praying that this ordeal is over for Michael very soon.
Please continue to pray that the other driver's insurance will not be "stinky" about paying for the hospital stay last Wednesday and all of the other doctor bills that will be coming through in the next few weeks. I can't even imagine what the final amount will be.
Thank you for all of the phone calls, emails and comments you have left on this blog. We are blessed beyond measure with precious friends and family :)

Thanks for the update, Lee. I know Michael will get the best of care, but I still feel for him. :-(
I know how he feels, unfortunately. I was hit head on by a dump truck and fractured my nose as well as had blow out fractures to my cheekbones and sinuses. Oh the bruising! I didn't know there could be so many colors on somebody's face at one time.
The good part is that it will all heal up and it will all just be a bad memory. I will pray the insurance treats him very well and that his pain is minimal. Poor guy!
Thanks for the updates on Michael. What an amazing way to start your first week of work in a new place...Yikes! He will look back at this event as a reminder of how faithful His God is. I'll continue to pray for healing and strength and all the insurance woes to work themselves out for good. May he feel God's arms around Him like a warm blanket.
I too know how he feels - was in a car wreck as a teenager, and my nose was broken on the steering wheel - looked like a raccoon!
I'll pray that the insurance co. will be cooperative, and that he gets all the medical care he needs...
Praise God he's still here!
