I know we moved 2 months ago, but today I actually felt like we have officially settled in. Randy did a wonderful job flooring more of the attic and moving the last of the boxes out of the garage. Yesterday I invited several quilting friends over and gave away most of my fabric. I had hoarded fabric for almost 15 years, so there was a lot to give away :) I am expecting to see several beautiful quilts made out of my old fabric in the months to come - how fun!
Homeschooling was normal today (whatever that is!), and we had a loving, peaceful day at home. Soup is on the stove, snow is on the way, and a big fire is burning in the fireplace. I am more content that I have been since we listed our old house in May. Our new windows will hopefully be put in this week, and then we will slowly and patiently begin to remodel this house. Plans are already underway for a big garden, a new deck, a big wooden playground, and a pink bedroom for the girls. Then there are the bathrooms, and the kitchen, and.....WAIT!!!! I am wanting to remain blissfully content, so I am not even going to think about all of those things today :)
Apparently, some people (my sister) thought that the last post of the gingerbread pizza was slightly risque, so I am only putting up G rated pictures today. Mason lost another tooth - such a cutie! Madelyn is a fairy princess, and Molly is just enjoying the fire.
Have a blessed evening, and tell your family how much you love, love, love them.

Now these pictures are completely innocent and cute. Give the 3M's hugs and kisses from Aunt Sandra.
Thanks for your note on my blog, Mary, and for sharing your own memory! I know what you mean about mourning for the house where you built so many memories. I miss my Grandparents in Tucson so much, but also their home - I have such vivid and loving memories there!
Thanks for making me feel young with the "sweet girl" - you can call me that anytime! Ha! :-)
I have so loved catching up with your family again through your blog. I am so touched reading your posts - you are such an inspiration to me.
I'm so glad your whole crew will be together for the holidays. I am looking forward to the break - definitely counting the days. I'll probably be home about a week. It's been awhile since I've been there for more than a couple of days and am feeling the call of "home" more strongly than usual.
Much love!
Love those smiley faces! So glad that you've settled in. There is just nothing like feeling at home.
It was very sweet of you to share your quilting fabric. I'm sure those quilting friends were tickled with your thoughtfulness.
You know, I have a book that you need with your remodeling. I thought it was for you when you moved but then i wasn't sure. After reading your post, I know it was meant for you. I think you'll really enjoy it. Let me hunt it up again and I'll get your address.
Christmas blessings,
Lea
