Our precious puppy, Scruffy, has been a joy (most of the time). He sleeps on the foot of Madelyn's bed at night, is sweetly protective of our children, plays well with our other dog, and is just a good, good dog......but, this week he has been OBNOXIOUS at breakfast. He has been jumping on Madelyn's legs and scratching her while we eat. He has been whining and barking for food -not good! I was feeling responsible for the change in behavior because I had fed him some left-over scrambled eggs earlier in the week.
Then.....this morning Randy caught Madelyn feeding Scruffy some of her breakfast - off of her fork! Apparently there was an unspoken (unbarked) agreement between the two that Madelyn would feed Scruffy the breakfast things she didn't want to eat. Hopefully, the mystery is solved, Madelyn won't feed the dog any more with our eating utensils, and Scruffy will be content with dog food.
Madelyn - you make my heart happy every day!
