Madelyn - Before and After

Our sweet Madelyn started pre-K at a Christian church near Randy's office. She gets to spend three mornings a week driving to school with her dad, and they both love that time together. This morning she wore a school dress that I smocked for Missy about 17 years ago. Molly wore it to preschool, and now the third precious girl has worn it. Maybe someday a little granddaughter will wear it on her first day of preschool :)

Madelyn is definitely the baby of the class - she turned 4 only days ago. This afternoon she sat down in the floor to read a book, and......well, you can see for yourself....school is exhausting!

Awww. What a cutie! Give her hugs and kisses from Aunt Sandra. While you're handing them out, give a few to Molly and Mason, too.

How neat she is wearing the same clothes as her big sister--I love that! I have dresses that were made by my husband's grandma hanging in my closet. My kids both wore them, then we loaned them to cousins and now they are waiting for grandkids (many years from now I hope!)

She looks tired, but it's a GOOD tired :-)

thanks for your sweet words, Mary. The funny thing is that while at the hospital, Jody had it on the Amarillo home's for sale channel and how many time we would look up and say, "oh, its the stricklands house again." So we thought of you often!

She looks so darling in that little dress. Preschool is such a big adventure for a little one.
