We're Back!!!

We are back from our blogging hiatus after a whirlwind month of family, weddings, extra pets, and everything else that we normally do :) This summer is zooming by, and quite frankly, I have been a frumpy-grump for most of it. We have been in a dilemma all summer about what to do about Mason's very expensive hearing aids, and I think it has robbed me of most of my joy. Now we have made a decision to place him in public school for one semester to try their hearing aids for FREE. It is a loooooong story about how we came to that decision, but I know that God worked so many things for good to make my "mommy heart" feel better about sending him off to school for a few months. The girls and I will still homeschool, and it has been fun to watch all of their kindergarten and second grade curriculum come in the mail :)

Our garden is overtaking the neighborhood, and we are having a cucumber and zucchini explosion. Last night we grilled chicken, fish and several veggies from our garden - so good! Our Mason still LOVES our garden. Even if I hated vegetables (which I don't), I would still have a garden just for that boy.

We just finished our version of vacation Bible school at out church, and the three M's came home fully equipped with Outback wear. Madelyn puts on her hat, sunglasses, bandana, water bottle holder, and tooth necklace before she goes into the "wild" backyard. She also wants her picture taken with her "cool" look. Pretty cute!

I am still working on bridesmaid dresses, hostess aprons and the wedding quilt, but I am also knitting Molly and Madelyn shawls to snuggle in this winter. The way this summer has flown by, I better get busy - winter will be here next week!

Well I'd say you HAVE been a busy girl!
I've not blogged much in the past couple of months either, but don't have a good excuse....
There's a reason for everything, and the Lord will be there with Mason when he goes off to public school... :)
Would love to see the bridesmaid dresses and such when you finish them!

Blessings....Janelle

Whew--SO glad to see you back!

Don't worry, Mason will be O.K. Sometimes you just have to do what you have to do to make ends meet. He may even enjoy himself while he is there!

It sounds like you are knee deep in wedding plans--I remember those days like it was yesterday instead of 20 years ago LOL It was so hot the day we got married that all of my hand made candies melted right on the tables.

Oh how I wish you were near me--I would take every single zucchini you wanted to send my way. I have THE BEST Chocolate Zucchini bread recipe and my customers order it like crazy (if I could get enough zucchini, that is)

It's funny about the Chocolate Zuchini Cake. Ted doesn't bake, but I found a cookbook about 20 years ago called "Too Many Zuchini?" It has the most wonderful recipe for said cake! Among other great recipes.

Glad to see you back! Have missed seeing the M's. Will keep Mason in prayer when school starts. I know Missy will be heading out soon. Enjoy every moment she's home.

You have been busy! When is the wedding? How precious and difficult this must be to see your child... get married... sniff.
the 3 M's are as always adorable... I love that top photo. I hope Mason get his hearing aids paid for. We are going through this with Piper as far as surgery and hearing.
